Meet the Staff
 |
Master Waldemar Bonilla, Director Master Bonilla, 6th Degree Black Belt and owner of East Coast Karate, has been training for over 30 years. He continues to train under Grand Master Yi, 9th Dan and President of the International Martial Arts Association. Master Bonilla has many tournament wins, commendations, and awards to his credit. He is an active participant as a judge at many of the area IMA tournaments. He regularly teaches many of the classes. His emphasis discipline, tradition, and committment.

Master Greg Allen, Head Instructor Master Allen is a 5th Degree Black Belt. He brings over 24 years of training experience to the school. He is known for his committment to tradition and knowledge of the Korean history of Tang Soo Do. Master Allen is very skilled in weapons, such as bo staff and Nunchukas, with many tournament trophies to his credit. He is active as a judge at many area tournaments.

Master Jill Gorsky, Sr. Instructor Master Gorsky, 4th Degree Black Belt, has been training since age 8 and teaching for 13 years. Master Gorsky was selected as Instructor of the Year in 2001. She has many tournament wins including several Women's Grand Championships in sparring. She earned a BA in Psychology and is currently working toward a degree in nursing. |

Sam Mascot, Senior Instructor Ms. Mascot, 3rd Degree Black Belt, has been training for many years East Coast Karate. She is very skilled in technique and forms as well as one-steps. She is currently attending an area college and teaches on her breaks from school.

Michelle Archinal, Instructor Ms. Archinal, 3rd Degree Black Belt, has been training for 132 years. She has many tournament wins. She is currently a sophomore at a local college pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management. Ms. Archinal was a member of the 2005-2006 East Coast Karate Demo Team and the 2004 East Coast Karate Championship Demo Team.

Jackie Voyt, Instructor Ms. Jackie, 2nd Degree Black Belt, joined the East Coast Karate family several years ago and has become a member of the teaching team. She is an accomplished competitor with several tournament wins to her credit. She is currently attending high school, training regularly and teaching at East Coast Karate.

Lynne Dwyer, Reception Ms. Dwyer, 3rd Degree Black Belt, has worked as part of the front desk staff for over 10 years. She is an active member of the East Coast Karate staff as well as a student. Miss Lynne received the 2007 Student of the Year award from the IMA. In her spare time she enjoys genealogy and has made great progress in her search for members of her own family.

Jason Bonilla, Lead Senior Instructor Mr. Bonilla, 3rd Degree Black Belt began training at the age of 5. He is splitting his time between East Coast Karate and pursuing his college degree. Mr. Bonilla is highly skilled with the Bo Staff and is very knowledgable in One-Steps. He is a regular participant at many of the area IMA tournaments and has many trophies to his credit. He is the recipient of the 2004 Instructor of the Year award for East Coast Karate, was a member of the 2003-2004 Demo Team Championship Team and is Captain of the 2005-2006 East Coast Karate Demo Team.

Corey Day, Instructor Mr. Day, 4th Degree Black Belt, began training at the age of 10. He has been a part of the teaching team for over 5 years. He was a member of the 2005-2006 East Coast Karate Demo Team and the 2004 East Coast Karate Championship Team. Mr. Day is currently attending Drexel University where he is studying Engineering.
